During my lunch walk I enjoyed the lovely view by the huge lake. It was calm.
Mother is becoming 92 so we went there to celebrate her! She likes to sing and remember many old sacred songs!
Today it was amazing autumn weather, and I enjoyed so much during my lunch walk!
After passing the curve in Panathinaikon Stadium a tunnel come visible, which look exciting and mysterious. At the end of the tunnel you reach several rooms, possible a building, probably called House of Athletics. In one room there are the official poster for each Olympic Games since 1896 and forward. Also the used torch on each games can be found there. Beside being museum there are changing rooms for the athletics.
Close to National Garden is the famous Panathinaikon Stadium where the modern Olympic Games started year 1896. I decided to get inside this time. It was cool, and also to see small school children doing sport at the stadium.
After Syntagma I thought it was time for relaxation in the National Garden.
Monday morning I had a few hours for sightseeing in central Athens. I started to walk towards the famous Syntagma square.
After 5-6 hours on Blue Star Paros, I arrived to Piraues, went with metro to Monastiraki and then finally Syntagma station. After some 10 minutes walk I found my hotel on Apolonos street. Later during afternoon and evening I walked in Plaka and south of Acropolis hill.
Friday was my last evening on Naxos this time. It is amazing to walk at the waterfront, a few minutes before sunset.
From Agia Anna I went directly to Mike’s Bikes & Cars to return my scooter. It was late afternoon, a great time to walk in the Old town/Castro to enjoy and take photos towards the light. As a cat lover, I do not mind to catch a cat on a few of my photos, like this one, an inhabitant of Naxos Old town!
