Agia Anna – daisies.
After lunch at Apolonas I thought it was time to go south again, and after a couple of hours driving I arrived to Agia Anna/Cape Agios Nikolaus. Unfortunately it was a little too windy to be comfortable to relax in the sun, but I stayed for a while.

After walking in the landscape looking at two Kouros, I thought it was time for lunch in Kinidaros, the next village on the road. I had a toast and water in a coffee shop, with a nice view on the small square, and landscape towards south.
The weather was great so relax on a nice beach for an hour or so was my next goal for the day. After some driving I reached Agia Anna and Cape Agios Nikolaus, where a classic clothing optional cove can be found. Just above the beach the small chapel Agios Nikolaus looks down the the sun lovers. The image with the tree is 200 metres south of the cove, and indicate the beginning of the lovely Plaka beach at a length of 4 km!
People who love to visit nice beaches shall travel to Naxos, that’s for sure! As bonus you can do so much more on an interesting island as this!
Glifada beach, Naxos Island
The first day with my rented scooter, I started a little late. Well, I guess that Mike at Mike’s Bikes & Cars did not expect any customers at 10 of April. I have to wait for him outside his shop, while he was at the bank office . And I was not the only one. Three cute French girls also wanted a vehicle!
As the faithful reader maybe remember, I first went to Chalki for lunch. As a result I arrived to my “first” beach as late as 5 P.M. Glifada is a lovely beach indeed, but my intention to work on my tan had no effect what’s so ever! I was almost freezing by the somewhat chilling wind. But maybe I shall look upon this with positive eyes; I did not burn myself; a white guy who just arrived from the Swedish winter!
Entré till stranden vid Majori, Jurmala
Stranden vid Jurmala är en såkallad blåflaggad strand enligt EU-standard. Allt är väldigt välordnat och jag skulle vilja påstå att stranden är utmärkt för barnfamiljen. Stranden är indelad i olika zoner: för den aktive, där bl a man pumpar ut musik med hjälp av en DJ, och lugnare zon, kanske just för barnfamiljen. Varför inte ta flyget till Riga och sedan vidare med tåg eller buss till Jurmala!
Jurmala in Latvia is the place to travel for families with children, who would like to visit a good beach, which fulfil the EU regulations.
