Trekking Fagerhult-Mullsjö

As I mentioned before I have started to enjoy longer walks in the nature. Trekking is becoming more popular, and the authorities on different levels acknowledge this and maintains the existing long distance walking trails, connect different trails together and creates new. Pilgrimage is something that is big in Europe and also grows in Sweden.

This photo is taken in July when I was walking from Fagerhult to Mullsjö via Furusjö, a walk which comprises (in my case) 35 km. This is the 8th leg of the long distance walking Västra Vätterleden.

Tiveden

I was visiting Tiveden with my parents when I was a child. I have strong memories of a place called Stenkälla, some huge blocks of stone, with a water source.

Two weeks ago I went there again, and also made some more hiking in the National Park. The hikes are rather tough because of the nature of the landscape, with huge stones, tree roots and hilly terrain.

Söderåsen national park – whooper swan

Skärdammen / Skäralid pond.

Some weeks ago I went to North-West Skåne in southern Sweden, to visit my brother and his family. But before I had some hours to spend and decided to visit Söderåsen national park. It was about time, considering it was 15 years ago I was there previous time.
There are different places you can enter the national park, and I selected Skäralid, where there is a big car park.

When you enter Skäralid you cannot avoid to see the whooper swans in the pond. This is not the most typical motive in the national park, but this was the very first photo I took with my DSLR this weekend, and I like it!

Between seasons

Hillside a cold Spring day.

Hillside a cold Spring day.

It’s light and sunny at the moment so I just to had to get some fresh air in the nearby nature. Just a week ago I was able to go skiing, but this last week the sun has worked hard to defeat the remaining snow!

Bonus skiing first days of Spring

Sunday was a lovely Spring-Winter day with sun from a nearly clear blue sky and a few degrees plus, like made for spring-skiing. But these few last days the sun has worked hard during daytime to melt the snow, but the cold night has preserved some of it and also made crusted snow. So I took a chance it was possible to go skiing and was blessed with a couple of hours of relaxation in the still white landscape!
